| 1. |
The TORCC is a traditional Catholic jurisdiction.
We align ourselves with, although are
not
in direct dialogue or communion with,
those
jurisdictions which identify themselves
as
Old Roman Catholic. |
|
|
| 2. |
In all matters of faith and morals, the Holy
Father IS infallible when speaking
ex cathedra.
He shall be, therefore, remembered
at all
Masses and prayers offered by the Church. |
|
|
| 3. |
The TORCC binds all clergy, religious and
laity to the Dogma of the Immaculate
Conception
of the Most Blessed Ever-Virgin Mary
and
the Assumption of the Most Blessed
Ever-Virgin
Mary. These dogmas are binding on ALL
members
of the Church. |
|
|
| 4. |
The TORCC affirms that there are 7 Sacraments:
Baptism, confession, Holy Communion,
Confirmation,
Holy Matrimony, Holy Orders and Extreme
Unction.
We further affirm that the Sacrament
of Holy
Orders is reserved to male candidates. |
|
|
| 5. |
Although there exists a "general confession"
in the Mass, all members of the The
TORCC
are obligated to avail themselves of
the
sacrament of private/auricular confession
whenever possible. "General Confession"
does not suffice nor supplant reception
of
the sacrament of Confession. |
|
|
| 6. |
The TORCC ascribes to the traditional "Calendar
of the Saints" up to the calendar
in
place prior to the Second Vatican Council
inclusive of ALL feasts and ferias
of the
Most Blessed Ever-Virgin Mary. |
|
|
| 7. |
All members of The TORCC - clergy, Religious
and laity - shall observe formal, regular
and consistent devotion and homage
to Our
Lord in the Most Blessed Sacrament.
At no
time shall any person not in major
orders
be permitted to distribute the Blessed
Sacrament.
At no time in aeternam shall Holy Communion
be received in the hand. |
|
|
| 8. |
The TORCC encourages the placing of statuary,
pictures, icons and other objects of
veneration
in public oratories, chapels, churches
and
private homes as means of inspiration
that,
"...as we look at these items
with the
eyes of the body, we shall with the
eyes
of the soul..." be reminded of
that
which is holy and be inspired to be
holy. |
|
|
| 9. |
The faithful are encouraged to attend and
assist whenever possible at daily Mass.
Frequent
reception of the sacraments is encouraged
so as to fortify the soul and deter
the effects
of sin. Reception of the Blessed Sacrament
is reserved to baptized Catholics.
The TORCC
does not nor will engage in "open
communion".
The Leonine Prayers shall be offered
on behalf
of the Church Catholic as directed
by Pope
St. Leo at the conclusion of ALL Masses. |
|
|
| 10. |
The faithful are encouraged to offer 5 decades
of the Rosary and to wear the Brown
Scapular
of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel as requested
by
the Most Blessed Ever-Virgin Mary at
Fatima. |
|
|
| 11. |
Women are required to wear a veil or other
suitable head covering when attending
Mass
or other liturgical services in the
Church.
All persons attending services are
asked
to dress appropriately, i.e. no bear
arms,
no shorts or tanktops, no scanty attire. |
|
|
| 12. |
All members shall observe the laws of Fast
and Abstinence. The elderly (over the
age
of 59) and the ill are dispensed there
from
and shall not be obligated thus they
may
engage in the practice of fast and
abstinence
by personal choice and only insomuch
as it
would not compromise their health and
well-being. |
|
